Improving survival rates for cancer must be a priority
01 Aug 2012
Diane Abbott, Labour’s Shadow Public Health Minister, has raised concerns that thenew proposed NHS Commissioning Outcomes Framework has omitted key cancer
survival indicators. She said:
‘I think this needs an urgent rethink, because improving survival rates for cancer
needs to be a priority. Key cancer survival indicators must be included
in the framework in order to give the fight against cancer the focus it needs.’
