City and Hackney Clinical Commissioning Group say 'Drop the Bill!
07 Mar 2012
Diane Abbott, the Shadow Public Health Minister, responds to the letter from the co-chairs of City and Hackney Clinical Commissioning Group have sent to the Prime Minister, asking for the Health and Social Care Bill to be withdrawn: ‘The Government’s damaging and unnecessary ideological NHS reorganisation is wasting over £3 bn, and there’s a sense of growing anger in Hackney about this. Patients are beginning to pay the price of David Cameron’s reckless reorganisation as waiting lists rise, services are cut and thousands of nursing jobs are axed. If the Prime Minister dropped his reckless Health Bill he could spend this money on the NHS frontline and start by saving the 6,000 nursing posts that are set to be lost before the next election.’
