New report says that the Government's public health proposals lack evidence

17 Nov 2011
Diane Abbott MP, the Shadow Public Minister, responds to a new British Medical Journal report that says that proposals in Government's health White Paper lack evidence

‘As Stephen Dorrell, Chairman of the Health Select Committee, points out, the government’s mismanagement of our public health services has created chaos and is making service planning impossible.

‘Andrew Lansley is casting a dark shadow over the future of the nation’s health, with misleading claims about the public health budget, and in the case of the case of the ‘health premium’ policy , underhandedly shifting precious resources away from those parts of the country that need the greatest help.’
