Diane attends launch of new group ‘Kurds for Labour’

Diane attended the launch of a new group, Kurds for Labour at Westminster on Monday.

She was joined by several Labour MP’s including Harriet Harman at the event which aims to bring together Kurds from Kurdistan, Iraq and Turkey together through politics.

Kurdish councillors from Hackney, Haringey, Enfield and Islington attended as well as several Kurdish prospective parliamentary candidates.

Diane said: “Hackney has a large Kurdish community and I hope Kurds for Labour will be a platform to get more of my constituents involved in politics.”
