Help for Lone Parents in Hackney
MP for Hackney North and Stoke Newington Diane Abbott paid tribute to the efforts of Working Links in Hackney in helping lone parents. Diane visited the Jigsaw Programme for Lone Parents yesterday to get an idea about the work being done there. She commented:
“I was thrilled to be able to see the work of the Jigsaw Programme for Lone Parents in Hackney. Working Links has been hugely successful in helping local people back to work and supporting them through the process of finding a job. The help they give to lone parents is invaluable and stretches right across the board from CV writing to accessing affordable healthcare to doing motivational work. I hope to pay another visit in a few months to see how the Programme has grown.”
So far Working Links have helped over 60, 000 people back to work nation-wide. The Jigsaw Programme for Lone Parents aims at increasing motivation among lone parents, educating them on their options, and supporting them in the journey back into work.
