Clapton Girls School Wins National Award

22 Jun 2005

Diane said afterwards: “I was particularly proud of Trang Vu and Angela Owusu, two girls from Clapton Girls’ Technical School.  Clapton Girls is an excellent local school and I was pleased to see the teachers and girls get recognition. It shows what Hackney children can do.”

Diane added: “Community awards promote other young students to achieve high quality work in their field of study.  Encouragement and support from the community is essential to reassure students of the importance of their studies.”

Diane continued: “It was wonderful to see motivated youth achieving success in sophisticated studies such as religion and science.  Difficult courses and an outstanding education, as provided by Hackney schools, are central for continued academic success for children.  Hackney schools are challenging students and promoting academic success.”
