Tories failed to meet their obligations to vulnerable child refugees – Diane Abbott
03 Oct 2018
Diane Abbott MP, Labour’s Shadow Home Secretary, responding to the Court of Appeal’s ruling that the government’s cap on child refugees is unlawful, said:“This ruling is welcome. By refusing to implement the Dubs amendment, the Tories have cruelly failed to meet their moral and legal obligations to vulnerable child refugees.
“Labour in government will meet those obligations to unaccompanied children and implement the Dubs amendment in full, as Members of parliament intended.”
