MP for Hackney North and Stoke Newington Diane Abbott today extended her condolences to the family and friends of 17-year old Etem Celebi who was killed on Wednesday night close to his home on the Smalley Close Estate.
Diane said:
“This is a tragic and shocking crime against a very young and extremely talented man. I extend my sincerest sympathies to the family and friends of Etem at this most difficult of times. I understand that the entire community in Stoke Newington is shaken up by this tragic incident. I implore anyone with any information on what happened on Wednesday evening to go straight to the Police and help them with their investigation. I have spoken to police officers at Stoke Newington police station and they are busy doing all they can to ensure the perpetrators are caught and brought to justice.”
